Optimize My Feed (“the App”) is a service of BS&Co. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we protect it.

What Data We Access

When you install the App, we request read-only access to:

Products — titles, descriptions, images, tags, vendor, product type, and variants (pricing, inventory, SKU, barcode)
Inventory — stock levels for each variant
Legal policies — your store's refund and return policies

We do not access customer data, order data, or any personally identifiable information about your customers.

How We Use Your Data

Product titles and descriptions are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate optimized, search-friendly versions.
Optimized product data is used to generate a structured product feed in the OpenAI Commerce specification.
The generated feed is hosted at a public URL that you choose to share with OpenAI so ChatGPT and similar AI shopping agents can discover and surface your products.
Variant data (price, inventory, SKU, barcode) is included in the feed to keep it accurate.
Your store's return policy may be summarized and included in the feed.

Where Data Is Stored

Your product data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the US. Generated feeds are stored on AWS S3 and served via CloudFront CDN.

Third-Party Services

Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes product text for optimization. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
OpenAI / ChatGPT and similar AI agents — when you publish your generated feed URL, OpenAI (and any other AI shopping agent you point at the feed) downloads and indexes the optimized product data so it can surface your products to shoppers. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Amazon Web Services — hosts the application, database, and feed files.

Data Retention

If you uninstall the App, your store data is deleted from our database. Generated feed files are removed from storage.
